A CMS (content management system) is a software application, usually running on a web server. It allows its user to create and maintain a website without having to write program code or HTML. Instead the user can add content by simply entering it into an online editor.
For most of our websites we use the Joomla CMS, which is the most popular open source CMS. However we also support other CMSs, like Typo3. Among others we have designed the websites of the European Chamber of Commerce and American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, Taiwan. Websites with a functionality like this require intensive customizing and software modifications. Joomla has thousands of extensions, which provide additional functionality to the website. Whenever needed and not available, we develop custom extensions. One extension, which you can download here and use freely, is mod_selectcontent, a module for Joomla to display a list of content items from a category, selected by a filter string in the content title.
